RIO GRANDE, P.R. -- TCU junior Yeji Shin is tied for eighth individually, while the Horned Frogs are fifth after Monday's second round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.

"Conditions remain tough," TCU women's golf coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "We are 1-to-2 scores short a day from leading this tournament. We need a couple of our top players to step up, play fearless and dominate as they usually do."

Shin's 76 Monday included back-to-back birdies on holes 5 and 6. At 6-over-par 148 through 36 holes, she's just five strokes behind leader Maria Fassi of Arkansas.

Brooke McDougald also posted a 76 for TCU. She recorded par on 13 holes.

For the second straight round, Annika Clark and Greta Bruner had identical scores. They each had a birdie en route to 77s and are tied for 23rd at 153.

Grace Do had a pair of birdies in a three-hole stretch on the front nine, while Emmy Martin also added a birdie.

TCU's final-round tee time Tuesday is at 6 a.m. CST. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
